Hi everyone, my name is Whitney Rairden and I am the preschool teacher here at Little Clippers. I was raised in Williamsburg, IA and graduated from Williamsburg Jr./Sr. High school in 2007. After high school I attended Kirkwood Community College where I received my Associates in Liberal Arts Degree. I continued on to obtain my Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood and Elementary Education from the University of Northern Iowa. I taught preschool for five years at College Community School District before accepting my job at Little Clippers. I currently live in Williamsburg, IA with my husband Adam and our adorable two year old daughter. We enjoy taking walks, going to the park and camping. I am very excited to get to watch/help your children grow and learn.

My Name is Moriah Williams and I am the Lead Teacher in our Lil' Sprouts Infant Room and also an On-Site Supervisor. As a child I was raised in Oxford, IA. I attended Clear Creek Amana K-12 and graduated in the Spring of 2009. Later that summer, I led my softball team to the first 45-0 softball season the state has ever seen! It was one of the best times of my life to say the least. I was given honors like Player of the Year, Pitcher of the Year, and All-State Elite Team Captain. I went on to play softball with a full ride scholarship to Kirkwood Community College. While I attended Kirkwood I majored in American Sign Language. After a year I decided to take a break so I could get a kick start in the real world! After a few years of truly figuring out who I was and what I loved, I met my Husband Brandon Williams. We were married in August of 2012, and have since built a happy healthy life together here in Tiffin, Iowa with our two fantastic little guys. I have been employed by Little Clippers since October of 2013, and have been in my current position as Lead Teacher since May of 2015. As of right now I am enrolled in a program to continue my education with infants and will soon have my CDA in Early Childhood Education. I really love and enjoy what I do and I couldn't be happier working with Infants everyday!

Site Supervisor / Super Tots Lead Teacher   Marissa Gedrose

Hello! My is Diane Schnoes and I am the lead teacher in the one year old room at Little Clippers. I was raised in a small, but wonderful town of Dyersville, Iowa with 3 brothers and one sister. I have always loved children and knew I would be working with them for most of my life. I earned an Associates Degree in Early Childhood from Northeast Iowa Community College. I was a lead teacher at Kids Kampus in Guttenberg for a year before I moved to Manchester to teach pre-school at Head start. I remained there for the nest 14 years. I married my husband Mark 3 years ago and moved to Coralville. In our spare time we like to visit family and shop for hidden treasures at garage sales and consignment stores. I am grateful for the opportunity to teach each and every child. It is such a joy to come to Little Clippers each day and be greeted by so many happy and loving children. I love watching them grow and discover new tings. Each child is unique and holds a special place in my heart.

Hello! My name is Marissa Gedrose and I am the Lead Teacher in the two year old classroom; as well as an on-site supervisor for the center! I started working at Little Clippers in October 2012 while attending my first semester of college, and have been here ever since. I was born in Long Beach, CA, but I was raised in Oxford, IA. I went to the Clear Creek Amana school district from kindergarten until graduation. Right after I graduated I started classes at Kirkwood with hopes of becoming a high school English teacher. I took some time off from school when I welcomed my first daughter, in December of 2013. After my maternity leave in January of 2014 I began working full time in the two-year-old classroom as an assistant teacher and I loved it! A year later I was expecting my second daughter, (born July 2015), when I was offered the Lead Teaching position in the one-year-old classroom and the position of a Site Supervisor. Little Clippers began as a part-time job to get me by while in school, but it has turned out to be a career that I love! I am currently in the process of getting my Child Development Associate (CDA) to further my education and knowledge of child development. As a parent, I completely understand how difficult it can be to trust another person with your child’s development and safety. That is part of the reason I love what I do and why I take my job so seriously. I look for as many teachable moments as I can and truly enjoy seeing a child’s face light up with excitement when they learn something new! Guiding your child through milestones as well as building a sturdy relationship with your child, are very important to me. The thought, “How would I want my own children to be treated by someone else?” is constant, and I feel that it has a very positive effect on the way I work. I care about each child I work with so much and look forward to coming into Little Clippers every morning! Teaching is something I have always wanted to do and I think that where I am is exactly where I am supposed to be!

Hello! My name is Bailey Ackman and I am the Director for the Before and After school programs. I grew up in Northeastern Iowa and graduated from Waverly-Shell Rock High School in 2010. After high school I moved to Cedar Rapids to attend Kirkwood Community College. While taking classes at Kirkwood I worked with all different age groups at the Waypoint child care program. In 2012 I graduated with my Associates of Arts in Human Services. I decided to further my education at the University of Iowa while majoring in Psychology and Studio Arts. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with family, friends, and my dog. I also love traveling to different locations such as Australia, Las Vegas, and Boston. I started working at Little Clippers in February 2015 as a floater in all the classrooms. In May of 2015, I took the position of Assistant Teacher in the Infant room, which is my favorite room! Additionally that same year I accepted the position of an On-Site Supervisor as well! Recently, I accepted the position of BASP Director as well as assisting with the daily functions at the center. I enjoy working with children very much and want to advance in a career that allows me to continue doing so.

Hi everyone, my name is Amanda and I am the Director and Owner of Little Clippers. I am originally from Keokuk, Iowa and attended college at Iowa Wesleyan University. At IWU I earned my Bachelors in Elementary Education along with an endorsement in Special Education.  However, my area of interest lies in early childhood. I love working with younger children. Children can really surprise you and they love to learn new things. Nothing compares to the moment when you see a child master a skill they have been attempting repeatedly , or achieve a developmental concept that you helped them complete. Teachers have a huge influence in their students development  and that is something I have always taken to heart. I  started my career at HACAP Head Start, where I gained experience in different ages and stages of child development.  Furthering my career in child development I opened my in-home daycare that I operated out of my home in Tiffin, Iowa. After 4 year of running my in-home I developed a lengthy waiting list. I wanted to extend my services to more families ultimately leading to the opening of Little Clippers. Outside of the center I enjoy spending time with my husband and three children (two girls and one boy). Weather it's watching a movie or spending time in the Ozarks I always value the time spend with my family.

Hi there! My name is Jennie Kleinmeyer and I am the Assistant Director here at Little Clippers! I was born and raised in Iowa and attended Clear Creek Amana Comm. School District from Preschool to my senior year of high school, where I graduated in May of 2009. After high school I attend Kirkwood Comm. College where I earned my Associates degree in Liberal Arts.  I have been with Little Clippers since April 19, 2010 and started as an Assistant teacher for the 3 year olds, 1 year olds and infants. In August of 2014 I accepted the position as the Lead Teacher in our 3 year old room and absolutely loved it! I really enjoyed planning activities and lessons for them, as it allowed me to be creative and learn more about what each child enjoyed doing. However, in June of 2015 I was offered the Assistant Director position and accepted! I positively LOVE my position here at Little Clippers! It has helped me discover things I never knew I was good at or even liked; such as the business side of this field. Currently, I am finishing the CDA (Child Development Associates) program and will earn my Associates degree in Early Childhood (Preschool). Along with earning my CDA, I will  soon have an associates degree in Applied Science for Business Administration: Management. I am beyond excited to expand my education and knowledge in these areas. They are important aspects to my career and are of great interest to me. It's such a great experience to teach young children and to watch them grow and develop into their own unique self. Knowing you have a part in that is truly amazing!

My experiences range from providing childcare in our church nursery to serving as a Court Appointed Special Advocate, where I was able to represent a foster child in court. Most recently, I worked as a social worker at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. I currently live in Oxford with my husband Spencer and our 5 year old daughter Emerald. I am honored to have the privilege of getting to know your children and spending time together as we learn and explore!
